Like many people, I like lighthouses. I think there is something special about this type of architecture from an aesthetic as well as functional aspect. There is something else as well. While they are a beacon of light in the dark and obscured night for passing ships., they seem to represent that beacon of light and direction that we seek in our lives. By day they are standing in wait, and by night they are our guide.
