There are many beautiful places in the United States. So many, for that matter, that you could spend several lifetimes exploring and never see but a small percentage of what is there to see. Among those many places are the few that transcend all others. Horseshoe Bend is definitely one of those. Standing inches from the edge of a 1,000 foot drop is exhilarating and a little nerve wracking. At the same time when the sun touches the horizon and the warm air surrounds you, looking out over this magnificent scene, it is soothing and magical.
It is striking to a degree that is almost indescribable. It is breathtaking beyond words. It is truly a perfect example of the beautiful earth. It is La Bella Terra.
