This particular day called for a short trip to the edge of the Chesapeake Bay for sunset. I had a feeling it would be a good one. The sky across the bay was quickly losing its light and the clouds were fading away. From this vantage point, the sun dips below the horizon behind to the right, so the sunsets are more subtle facing southeast. Even with the minimal amount of clouds overhead, this was a wonderfully beautiful and soothing setting. The gentle movement in the water and the striking Bay Bridge stretching across the horizon caught the pastel colors to create a living painting before my eyes.
