A Little Time Away

On a drive through Central New York, I decided to take a little time to walk over to a little falls I’ve visited once
before. I did not expect to find a special shot while there. I wanted to just wade through the river and take a little
time for myself to decompress. I put down a towel and sat on a rock in the middle of the river for 45 minutes just
soaking up the scene. There were a few other visitors wandering through. One by one they left and I had an unexpected
opportunity to take a photograph of the sunlight shining down through the opening in the forest over the falls. The
rest of the scene was glowing in the green of the tree canopy above me. It was calm, peaceful, and beautiful.
